PEFI 2.19    Thevenin's and Nortons Theorems

The Theorem of Thevinin says that every curcuit can be replaced by an equivalent resistance and voltage source.

The Theorem of Norton says that every curcuit can be replaced by an equivalent resistance and Current generator.

Current Generators - not normally found in the Store

 
   

Please note that an ideal current generator / source allways must be able to deliver the promissed current.

Open and close the switches and observe the voltage.

Replace the current source with a voltage source - and repeat the experiment.
