If we had 16 fingers by nature would our natural number system properly be based @16 instead of 10.

Computers would still use the binary system for sure - but the conversion between binary and hexadecimal numbers (with radix 16) very easy compared with binary to decimal conversions  and vice versa.

Please note! - 8 fingers (4 @ each hand) would also be a nice number - but don't even think about it ;-)

With 16 fingers and weighted numbers - what's the biggest number your able to count?

         Answer (Drag the mouse) 216-1 = 65535
