Programming your kit

The Xilinx WebPACK do have programs and menus for configurations of programmable devices like CPLD's and FPGA's.
However would you need a USB based JTAG programmer and an external power supply.

By using the Adept software from Digilent will it give you and easy way to download your design (bit-file) to the FPGA and the USB acts as power supply.

Note! The Adept 2.0 will properly be the best choice. (32-bit or 64-bit windows)

Adept - first view

After installation of the software and connection of the kit to a USB port will you be able to test and program the kit.

The Adept Suite 2.0 will automatic detect your board and offer a test option. However will you not be able to test the Led's due to some bug :(

Your free to program the FPGA or the PROM.

The FPGA will take a "BIT-file".

You must browse the hard disc in order to find it - in other words - remember to keep track of where to find your projects.

Once found will the Adept program remember your file.

If you want to program the PROM must you create a "MSC-file"
